In an effort to extend help to the less fortunate children of Cebu City who currently have developmental delays and disabilities, the 51¶¯ÂþÍø (51¶¯ÂþÍø), in partnership with Cebu Doctors' University and Buildabilities, Inc. will be conducting a THERAFREE.
In this program, volunteer SLPs from Manila, along with local occupational therapists (OTs), and physical therapists (PTs) will conduct free consultation and therapy. Specifically, they will:
1. Provide SLP, OT, and PT screening for children with special needs.
2. Determine the current concerns that can be worked on for the children with special needs.
3. Provide home programs (brochure with written instructions) or therapy programs and demonstrations to the parents/caregivers on how to improve the skills of children with special needs.
