Rosemarie Benavides-Tubilla, MBA, RSLP, is also known as Rorie. Being an SLP is her first love, as her first job in 2000. She has worked with private clinics and private schools, as far as Dagupan in the north, and to Davao in the south, as well as in Jakarta, Indonesia. SecretaryHer early professional years were devoted to serving in-need individuals through institutions such as Helping Hands Therapy Center in Batangas, Independent Living and Learning Center (ILLC) in Mandaluyong, and Makati Medical Center. Currently, she is the Center Director and Chief speech-language pathologist of Early Start Therapy Center, located in Tanauan and Lipa City, Batangas. She is also currently a Clinical Supervisor in EST Tanauan for De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute SLP Interns. Her passion to provide services to the underprivileged can be seen through her active participation in providing free therapy sessions, assessments and home programs through linkages with LGUs and civic organizations such as Rotary Club of Lipa and JCI Lipa. Outside of the classroom, Teacher Carmela is a loving wife to her husband, Daryl, and a devoted mother to four amazing children, one of whom is a beautiful three year old boy with Down Syndrome.Worthy Habla
Chair, Membership Committee
When not working in a therapy center, Worthy is the head of the Adventist Possibilities Ministries of Pasay Adventist Church. Under this group is a team that advocates for the social and spiritual welfare of the deaf and hard of hearing, as well as a support group for mental health for the youth and young adults. Aside from this, he also volunteers and sponsors the community development projects with Project Lingap, a socio-civic group that helps communities in the remote areas of Luzon. When not busy with these groups, you may find him reading a book, hiking, or free-diving. Jeremiah Pinca
Chair, Professional Standards & Ethics Committee Jeremiah is the Clinical and Program Director and Speech-Language Pathology Section Chief of Wordabilities Development Center in Caloocan City. He graduated from the University of the Philippines Manila College of Allied Medical Professions (UP CAMP) in 2006 and has since been an active regular member of the Philippine Association of Speech-Language Pathologists (51¶¯ÂþÍø). He has previously served as one of the 51¶¯ÂþÍø Board of Directors in 2009 to 2012, and as 51¶¯ÂþÍø Secretary from 2012 to 2014. For 15 years now, he is also an internationally credentialed medical volunteer of Operation Smile, a non-profit service organization that provides free cleft lip and palate surgeries to children worldwide. He is a graduate of the TINIG AAC (Technological Intervention in Giving Augmentative and Alternative Communication) certification course from the Department of Speech Pathology of UP CAMP in 2017 and is currently the assistant head of the 51¶¯ÂþÍø Special Interest Group on AAC. He has profound interest and experience in typical and disordered language, speech-motor development, pediatric feeding, school-age, and life-based communication skills. Presently, he is also a member of the 51¶¯ÂþÍø Professional Standards and Ethics Committee, a resource speaker in the ADHD Society of the Philippines, and also the host and producer of "SLP Shoptalk," a podcast about Filipino SLPs, for SLPs, by SLPs via Spotify. Outside the profession, Jeremiah is a loving husband to his wife, Millicent, and a doting furdad to two cute puppies, namely Chanel and Hermes. He also volunteers at his local Christian church, enjoys reading action-adventure historical fiction, serialized novels, and watching crime-thriller and police-procedural TV shows. He is also always on the lookout for the best chicken dish and invigorating fruit drinks. Arden Romanillos
Chair, External Affairs Committee The first magna cum laude graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences - University of Santo Tomas-Manila, he currently works as a University instructor in the same University, teaching applied speech pathology courses in adult practice. As a clinician, he currently works as a senior consultant and Chief of the Speech-Language Pathology Section of the National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Quezon City, specializing in adult dysphagia practice. He is also a consultant at the Collaborative Learning Laboratory Therapy Center (formerly known as Speech Ladder/ NEST-Greenhills). Aside from being a clinician, he also works as a clinical supervisor for speech pathology interns. Outside of clinic duties, Arden is also the CEO and President of DenVer Kennel MNL Co. Inc. which wholly owns DenVer's FurHouse Veterinary Surgery and Wellness Center in Caloocan City. When not seeing patients or doing University work, he exhibits dogs, particularly Japanese Akitainus and Pembroke Welsh Corgis in local and international dog shows. Katherine Tiuseco
Chair, Public Relations Committee Kaye is a double-degree holder, graduating with honors from both the University of the Philippines, Diliman and Manila campuses. With skills from her 1st degree in Speech Communication, she has written and published three books on financial literacy for teens, has edited articles, children's books, and novels for other authors, and was a seasonal columnist to local lifestyle magazines and websites. During her 1st undergraduate course, she became a member of the renowned UP Concert Chorus, and went on 3 tours spanning Europe, North America, and Oceania. Travel during the crucial years of transitioning into young adulthood immensely enriched her worldview. Journeying in a company of creatives and artists, for 7 months at a time, instilled in her not only discipline, professionalism, and a knack for being performance-ready whatever the circumstance, but also expanded her appreciation for diversity, her competence in diplomacy, and national pride in representing the country. | Julie Rimando

Julie completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology at UP Manila in 2002. She also received certification for Rainbow Kids Yoga (Urban Ashram) in 2015, PROMPT Level 1 in 2015, PROMPT Level 2 in 2016, Hanen More Than Words Program in 2017, DIR/101 DIR Model in 2019, and Advanced Practitioner in Developmental Play (Applied Practice Level 3) in 2019. Over the years, her practice has focused on both pediatric and geriatric clients. She has been affiliated with Aces Center (Pangasinan) and Dong In Tulay Center (Bataan) since 2005, Medical Centrum Dagupan since 2019, and Child Advancement Center Helping Hands (Davao) since 2015. She also provided services at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Communicare Therapy Center, Center for Goals Alabang, and Neurodevelopmental Center Perpetual Las Pinas. Julie advocates for the important role of speech pathologists in the healthcare and educational systems of the Philippines. Likewise, she believes that speech pathologists should be given ample benefits for the services that they provide for every client that they cater. She is also an avid supporter of parent empowerment as she believes that anything can be achieved as long as the primary caregivers are part of the management team. During her free time, she likes watching the television, make diamond paintings, and spend time with her family. Julie describes herself as a very positive person who smiles even at adversaries.
Monica Molmisa

Monica is a registered speech and language pathologist under the Professional Regulation Commission. She has a decade of experience at various centers and hospitals, catering to pediatric and geriatric populations, after graduating from the Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology program at the University of the Philippines - Manila in 2012. She recently became a Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) trained therapist under Meaningful Speech LLC. Moreover, she is one of the few Augmentative and Alternative Communication Specialists in the Philippines after receiving her certificate in AAC from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2018. Chair, Finance & Special Projects Committee
Justine is currently one of the senior speech-language pathologists at Play & Say Therapy Center in Baguio City. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of the Philippines, Manila in 2005. Justine has approximately 18 years of clinical experience under her belt. Her practice is focused in the pediatric field, specializing in early intervention and language based approach. She works with adolescents as well, teaching critical thinking & reasoning skills as well as social skills. As co-owner and administrator of Play & Say Therapy Center for the past 14 years, Justine has hands-on experience in leadership roles and clinical administrative roles ranging from day-to-day operations oversight, managing and supervising staff, conceptualizing programs, client relations, marketing roles, and financial administrative roles. Justine is passionate about working with special needs children. She loves that she can spend time with her clients, bond and form meaningful relationships with the children and their families and most of all, make a difference in their lives. She believes in therapy with a heart; that more than being the best at what you do, what matters more is the heart & effort poured into your work and the love you shower on your clients.
Jeremias Sorongon
Chair, Continuing Education & Research In pursuit of growth and excellence, he moved to San Francisco, California where he completed the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Fieldwork Course at Loma Linda University and carried on to become a consultant for early intervention and autism. In May 2023, he graduated with a Master of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at New York University and was given another excellence distinction, which landed him a teaching assistant position at the same university for seven consecutive semesters. Jerry's exposure to vast outlets and settings of the profession at an international stage fostered his desire to contribute to the growth of speech-language pathology in his country. He continues to aid in molding globally competent Filipino SLPs through collaborative ventures with local higher educational institutions. As of now, he believes that it is the time to bring his advocacies to a higher arena, to carry the voices of his constituents to the national spotlight through the Philippine Association of Speech-Language Pathologists. Ferdiliza Garcia
Chair, Legislation & Public Policy Committee Dr. Ferdiliza Dandah S. Garcia is a social development advocate, professional volunteer and educator. She served previously as a 51¶¯ÂþÍø officer handling the committee of membership, being a vice-president and president. She is currently the committee chair of the 51¶¯ÂþÍø Committee on Professional Standards and Ethics and is one of the co-chairs of the World Health Organization World Rehabilitation Alliance Primary care workstream. She was a member of the WHO Technical Working Group on Priority Rehabilitation Packages (Stroke, Cerebral Palsy and Basic Rehabilitation) and a resource person for the development of various disability inclusive and disability specific programs and policies involving national government agencies such as DOH, DSWD, NDA and Council for the Welfare of Children and different local government units. Being a staunch advocate and believer of community-based rehabilitation, she continually encourages students to pursue this career path being a preceptor in the UP CAMP CBR program and works with other BR/CBID non-government organizations as the current President of the Philippine Community Based Disability Inclusive Development Association. She has also been involved with various international interprofessional researches that have helped create strategic plans in moving forward the wheelchair service program advocacy within the Philippines. Her areas of research interest include disability inclusive development, disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction and management, assistive device provision in less resource settings, community-based rehabilitation, participatory health and development and emancipatory research. Her active voluntary involvement in socio-civic, faith-based, non-government and government organizations has resulted to her being awarded as one of UP CAMP's Big 50, UP Alumni Association Distinguished Alumna Award for Community Empowerment last 2016 and one of the 2021 Miriam College Amazing Alumni Achievers. Paolo Mangune
Chair, Convention Committee As an emerging researcher, he had been to various local and international conferences to share insights on integrating indigenous research methods in exploring social and health issues. With all these efforts, Paolo hopes to initiate and participate in academic and community programs aimed at intensifying and advancing collaboration among different local and regional health sectors. He believes in the potential of the professional organization and its members in taking a step further to uphold disability-inclusive development for our society and facilitate the growth of the profession in the process. |
